  2. The purpose of this day is to shed old grievances or grudges, set our differences aside and forgive those who have wronged us, along with seeking forgiveness from others for our own mistakes.
  3. It is a day to promote peace, love, and understanding and increase goodwill among people and create a world full of healing and to reflect on the importance of forgiveness in our lives and to make a commitment to practice forgiveness in our daily interactions with others.
  4. If you are interested in promoting forgiveness in your community or in your personal life, there are a few things you can do.
    • You can start by practicing forgiveness towards those who have wronged you, even if they have not asked for it or do not seem to deserve it.
    • You can also encourage others to forgive and offer support to those who are struggling with forgiveness.
    • Also, we should forgive ourselves for knowingly or unknowingly hurting ourselves!
